Celtic should complete a season-long loan of Patrick Roberts next week, according to reports.
The news comes after Manchester City finally relented and agreed to send the player back to the Scottish champions for the 2017/18 season.
Roberts starred for Celtic across an 18-month period beginning in January 2016.
Both Celtic and the player were keen on an another loan deal, though City were said to be hesitant about sending him back to the Ladbrokes Premiership, preferring to test his abilities at a higher level.
It is thought Celtic’s 5-0 victory over Astana, which all but confirmed their place in the Champions League group stage, was key in securing the deal.
