CELTIC are looking into the possibility of luring Steven Gerrard to Parkhead on loan during the January 2016 transfer window, according to reports.
The current Liverpool captain will be leaving the club at the end of the season before joining LA Galaxy in the USA.
The Major League Soccer season runs from March to December, meaning Gerrard may be free to make a loan move back to Europe during the off-season.
The Anfield legend has ruled out ever playing for any of Liverpool’s English Premier League rivals, which could make any Celtic offer an attractive alternative.
If a deal could be arranged, Gerrard would follow in the footsteps of EPL stars like Ian Wright, Juninho, Roy Keane and Freddie Ljungberg who made a late career move to Glasgow’s East End.
