Brighton are considering a £20million offer for Celtic striker Moussa Dembele, according to the Daily Mail.
The Seagulls have performed above expectations this term after making the leap up from the Championship to the top tier of English football, but with 14 goals they currently rank joint-lowest scorers of any club in the top 15.
Having missed out on Vincent Janssen in the summer window they’re desperate to bolster their attacking firepower and ensure they remain a Premier League club beyond one season.
It is understood they have identified Dembele as their preferred target and are set to test Celtic’s resolve with a £20million offer.
It would break Brighton’s current transfer record of £13.5million, paid for Jose Izquierdo, but may not be enough to capture the young Frenchman, who Celtic value at around £30million.
