Celtic are set to make only one more signing between now and the end of their Champions League qualification adventure, Brednan Rodgers has said.
The Northern Irishman told Celtic TV that his side require only one more addition before the Champions League group stages, reinforcing his faith in his current squad to make it through the treacherous qualifying path.
While Pedro Caixinha has been busy reshaping his Rangers team Rodgers has had little need to dip into the transfer market, recruiting only Jonny Hayes from Aberdeen.
Celtic face either Linfield or La Fiorita in the Champions League second qualifying round.
“There is another I would hope we can get in,” Rodgers confirmed
“Then I just want to get through the qualifiers with the players who have got us through, knowing they are a year better on.
“I also want to just wait and see because I know the market in England and the rest of Europe well.
“I know how it works. It’s later on in the window before players of real quality become available. I want to bring the best possible players into here.”
