Swans fancied at 10-11 to end season flying high

THE curtain comes down on a fairly forgettable Barclays Premier League season, with the winners and two relegation spots confirmed in late April.

This campaign has hardly set the pulse racing, although the final Champions League berth will be fought out by Arsenal who just need to win at Newcastle (6-10 Scotbet), and Tottenham, who are 1-3 with Ladbrokes to beat Sunderland at the Lane.

Both should oblige, but my idea as the best bet for tomorrow’s finale is Swansea to bow out on a high after a fantastic maiden season under Michael Laudrup. Considering the Swans lost Scott Sinclair and Joe Allen before the season started, and then Danny Graham, a League Cup triumph and comfortable mid-division finish has made a mockery of the pundits who tipped them to struggle.

They came within three minutes of spoiling Fergie’s farewell party last week, with Michu back on scoring form, and they should see off Fulham, who have been awful of late, including a 4-2 reverse at the cottage against Reading. Take Swansea at 10-11.

Depending how much champagne the Chelsea players guzzled after their dramatic Europa win, Everton in Davie Moyes’ last game could make the bookies’ price of 9-2 look silly. West Ham are fancied to end a decent campaign with victory against Reading at 7-10.

It is also the last weekend of the SPL season and Derek McInnes is desperate to send Aberdeen fans away for the summer with some optimism The Dons at 23-20 Scotbet should oblige against crisis-hit Hearts.
