Stirling’s sterling display

Stirling University 3Civil Service Strollers 2

Stirling UNIVERSITY claimed another three points in their Premier Division title campaign after coming from behind to beat Civil Service Strollers 3-2.

Strollers are the only side to have beaten Stirling in the league this season and they started their bid to do the league double on the students with a goal after three minutes. This came after a cross from Hogarth was headed neatly into the net by John Dunn.

The University hit back with a goal coming from Eddie Dines five minutes later. Strollers struck again through Dickson after 15 minutes.

Stirling returned to the pitch strongly and snatched an equaliser within two minutes of the match restart via Danny Denholm. It wasn’t until the 89th minute that the Uni claimed all three points. The strike came after Dines’ shot struck the bar from just inside the box, and Sludden slotted the rebound.
