St Mirren stalwart Murray to leave club

St MIRREN have confirmed Hugh Murray will leave the club at the end of the season.

The midfielder has the record for most competitive appearances for the Paisley side, having played 467 times since his debut in 1997. The 33-year-old also has the most league appearances at 402 and had a testimonial in 2007-2008.

Buddies manager Danny Lennon said: “Shuggy has set himself in the record books at a club he has served terrifically well for 15 years. In the modern era, it is rare for a player to spend his whole career at the one club. That is to be praised.”
