St Johnstone miss key men for trip to Hibs

HIBS look set to face a weakened St Johnstone side this weekend, with Stevie May poised to quit McDiarmid Park and several others struggling with injury.

The Easter Road outfit beat St Mirren convincingly at the weekend and are hoping to follow that up with another win on Saturday to make it seven points from a possible nine.

Their opponents have been hit by injury, with Chris Millar and Murray Davidson both facing lengthy lay-offs after limping out of their defeat to Aberdeen at the weekend and Craig
Beattie in a race to be fit for his debut after missing that game because of a virus. Rowan Vine and Gregory Tade will be back from suspension in time for the game against Pat Fenlon’s men but Callum Davidson is toiling with a knee injury and it looks like striker May could complete a move to Hamilton Accies before Saints’ trip to Edinburgh.

The 19-year-old impressed after coming on as a sub against the Dons but it would appear that May, who scored 19 goals on loan at Alloa last term, is surplus to requirements.
