SPL Fanzone: St Mirren

Last week pretty much summed up what St Mirren are all about. After blowing the chance to make a cup semi-final by losing at home to a part-time lower league side, we then went to the team that’s fourth in the SPL and won.

It was great to see Kenny McLean finally bag his first Saints goal at McDiarmid Park. The youngster has been getting closer and closer in recent weeks and, hopefully, Saturday’s goal will see him go on a bit of a run. The good thing is that, unlike some of the youngsters we’ve had in the last few years, he’s on a long-term contract and we won’t lose him for buttons.

Last weekend’s win was much needed after a poor run of form and, hopefully, we can kick on from here and continue with our top-six push, starting with Saturday’s game against Hearts.
