SPL Fanzone: St Mirren

WE FIND ourselves in a strange position as we enter the final five games of the season. We are, for once, safe from the drop.

The chance of finishing seventh is still there but fighting for that will be rather more relaxing than our normal battle to ensure we end up no worse than 11th.

We’ll still have a big say in who goes down, though, with Dunfermline and Hibs coming to Paisley in the next few weeks. If we really are serious about registering our best-ever SPL finish, we have to be looking to beat Dunfermline this weekend.

A first goal for Dougie Imrie would be good as well so he doesn’t have that hanging over him during the summer while, hopefully, the likes of Thomas Reilly and Jason Naismith are given a start so they can show us what they’re made of.
