SPL Fanzone: St Johnstone

IT’S not often I’ve walked away from an SPL match since we got promoted thinking “that was straightforward” but the match at Dunfermline was as easy a win as we’ve had since our return to the top flight.

After relatively even opening exchanges we took the lead thanks to a monumental goalkeeping error and never really looked back.

Having Francisco Sandaza back clearly made a huge impact – he gave us an attacking focus and showed some lovely skill at times, and great desire to beat two defenders to the ball to net our second.

We play Kilmarnock tonight before travelling to Inverness for the New Year fixture. If we can get through that while maintaining our current league position that will be an outstanding achievement.
