SPL Fanzone: St Johnstone

Now the serious business begins. We have ten games left to play and, by the looks of things, will need a fifth-place finish at least to make a return to the European stage after almost 15 years.

Only one point separates Saints, Dundee United and Hearts – although we have a game in hand on both of those sides. It’s vital that we put a run together before the split if we want to have serious ambitions of a continental trip next season.

Unfortunately it is a trip to St Mirren that awaits us on Saturday. We’ve been unable to beat them so far this year – three attempts, three abject failures.

It looks like we’ll have almost a full squad for the journey to Paisley – hopefully that’s something that will be maintained between now and matchday 38.
