SPL Fanzone: St Johnstone

IF THERE was anyone as happy as the fans of the two Capital clubs that we’re having an Edinburgh derby final, it must be the supporters of St Johnstone.

A Hearts win would guarantee us a European spot regardless of what happens in the final five league games.

But, hopefully, it won’t come to praying for a Jambos win in the Hampden showpiece. As it stands, we are fourth, in the first Europa League place and only five points off an unprecedented Champions League spot.

There are four teams chasing three European places with seven points separating third and sixth and 15 to play for. It’s going to be a tense few weeks. We must start with a good performance against Dundee United this weekend. They’re the only team we haven’t beaten since coming back to the SPL but what a time it would be to put that to bed.
