SPL Fanzone: Motherwell

MOTHERWELL may have struggled in the SPL with three consecutive games since our last victory but things are looking up. A win against Queen’s Park – with no disrespect intended – is nothing to write home about, notwithstanding the 4-0 scoreline.

But we were blessed with good fortune in the draw and, while our recent record against lower league sides means we can take nothing for granted, we could hardly have picked a better draw than Morton at home. Other ties will see a number of SPL teams eliminated.

Looking back to Saturday, Stuart McCall may not have seen the performance desired from back-up players such as McHugh, Forbes and Page but he now knows more depth is needed. But an attacker scoring on his debut brings a huge lift to the whole club and Henrik Ojamaa provided a beauty.
