SPL Fanzone: Motherwell

January is supposed to be an exciting time for players coming and going but Motherwell fans have little to get excited about this year.

Henrik Ojamaa, in his limited appearances so far, does seem like an excellent addition but budget concerns mean further additions seem unlikely. It’s a consequence of having money tied up in squad players clearly not rated by the manager. But, until their contracts run out there is little to be done.

Instead, we have to invest our hopes in Henrik. It is questionable whether or not he’s that much better than our youth players would be, if given the chance. Nonetheless, it is fun to speculate whether he will become a full Estonian international.

But there is still a week or so left in the transfer window. Perhaps Stuart McCall will provide us with another signing.
