SPL Fanzone: Kilmarnock

KENNY Shiels was the toast of the bookies as Killie turned over the champions.

To be fair not many of our own fans held out much hope given the six goals we shipped at home to Inverness but the manager got his tactics right. It wasn’t the best game I’ve ever seen but there was plenty of action. Rangers had a decent penalty claim turned down (wonders never cease) and so did we. A fantastic goal-line clearance by Jamie Fowler, a good save by Cammy Bell and Paul Heffernan thwarted by a great save at the other end. Pascali looked a lot more comfortable in his new role – a goalscoring centre half! The day was topped off by a great interview with the manager who got stuck into the glory hunters who leave provincial towns to support the big two instead of backing their home team. What we need now is consistency. Bring on Aberdeen and let’s show that we are back on track.
