Even the extra hour this weekend did not ease the pain of Saturday’s robbery of three points by Motherwell. One week we wonder how we snatch a point and the next we wonder how we lose three.

Life at Caledonian Stadium isn’t exactly dull just now, that’s for sure. After two dire performances on the bounce, the Motherwell game was one to relish and the players all seemed to click and show us what they could do. But it still wasn’t enough. Missed chances cost us dear and lady luck deserted us yet again. The dodgy sending off of Chris Hogg and the resulting deflected free-kick summed up our season so far.

It will take a lot to pick the team up after this as they gave their all and, once again, walked away with nothing.

The signs are there that we can win games, it’s just a case of when.
