SPL Fanzone: Inverness Caledonian Thistle

IT was end-of-term stuff as our season concluded with a home victory over Scottish Cup finalists Hibs. We had a lot of possession in the game and passed it a lot but the Hibs players’ priorities were not to get injured and so we were never put under any real pressure.

Given the half-hearted attitude of our opponents, it was disappointing that there was not a bit more penetration in the final third. It was pleasing, though, to have a third clean sheet in a row and also see some passing football instead of the big hoof.

Whilst we had a lot of possession, few players showed a good first touch despite being under little pressure.

Greg Tansey’s free-kick was a delight and, having ended the season on a high, hopefully we can kick on from here and enjoy a better campaign next season.
