SPL Fanzone: Dunfermline

IT IS hard to escape the conclusion now that Jim McIntyre is rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

The iceberg of an away match at Celtic looms on the horizon this month, about as welcome as an Edinburgh tram. One must not go overboard but are we carrying too many passengers? For Dundee United it was a cruise but other clubs aren’t in the same boat. The Pars had to do without Liam Buchanan, Joe Cardle and Andy Barrowman in addition to our four long-term injured. We were all at sea at the first goal, but were sunk by the controversial sending off of Gary Mason. An Andy Kirk goal gave us a lifeline, the Pars fans got right behind the team who gave a good reaction but we still looked out of our depth. Is McIntyre the man to navigate us through these choppy waters? Time will tell as it’s too early to rock the boat.
