SPL Fanzone: Dunfermline

A GOOD performance at Aberdeen prompted Craig Brown to remark that Dunfermline are a better side than our league position suggests. He said he had “seen a lot of poorer sides at Pittodrie this season”.

Given that Dunfermline have a better away record than six other SPL teams, including Hearts, the question must be posed why is there this contrast with our wretched home form? Is it the colour of the strip? Style can subconsciously increase physical presence.St Mirren, in black and white, look sturdy. The Pars look insipid. Red is the most successful colour in football history and red suggests a threat. The Pars do better in their yellow top and blue shorts and, psychologically, bright colours exude aggression and arrogance. Next up is Killie at home. Can we play in our away strip, please?
