SPL Fanzone: Dundee United

The addition of Robbie Neilson to the squad will add some much needed experience to what has been thus far this season a fairly youthful side. With last year’s player of the season Sean Dillon also due back from injury, hopefully this can be the answer to the defensive woes the club has been suffering from.

However, could the signing of Neilson suggest that there may be a departure when the transfer window reopens? United lost far too many key players at the end of the last campaign for free when their contracts expired that would have demanded a healthy transfer fee otherwise. With Paul Dixon already attracting interest from a number of clubs this may be an opportunity for United to get some additional cash in which could be reinvested in the squad or the youth system at the very least.
