SPL Fanzone: Dundee

After a promising start to our ‘bonus’ SPL campaign in the 0-0 draw with Killie, we received a reality check from St Mirren at Dens. A wonder strike and then a second goal seconds after we were denied a stonewall penalty saw us consigned to a 2-0 defeat.

However, there is a long way to go, and there will be more defeats like this. At least we don’t have the pressure of having to pick up points to challenge for the elusive, sole First Division promotion slot now.

And so to Sunday’s derby at Tannadice. With United having been softened up nicely by Dynamo Moscow, this game doesn’t seem quite as formidable as it did a week ago. Big problem is who will score for us against United. No goals scored in three competitive games says it all. Most Dundee fans would take another tame 0-0 now.
