Spartans stay on course

Omar KADER put Spartans in front within the first few minutes when a free kick was whipped into the box, John Gilbertson in the Tynecastle goal didn’t clear the ball and Kader had the simple task of slotting the ball into an empty net from close range.

Josh Morris had a chance to level it when Jordan Caddow played in a great ball but Chris Flockhart gathered Morris’s header. Neil Hastings had a great effort from a 25-yard free kick saved well by Flockhart who somehow managed to get push the ball around the post.

Morris again almost scored when he broke away but his shot hit the woodwork.

Chris Anderson doubled Spartans’ lead when he placed the ball low in the corner of the net. Keith McLeod then sealed the victory when he shot past the advancing Gilbertson and the ball nestled low in the bottom corner.
