Southampton looking to land Celtic target Patrick Roberts

Southampton are looking to land ex-Celtic star Patrick Roberts on a season-long loan from Manchester City, according to reports.

New Saints boss Mauricio Pellegrino is keen to bring the player to St Mary’s as he aims to bolster his squad for the new season.

The young winger is currently away with Manchester City on the club’s tour of America and it’s unlikely manager Pep Guardiola will sanction any sort of move for the player before he’s had a good look at his abilities.

Celtic have been linked with another move for the 20-year-old attacker who lit up Parkhead over the previous season-and-a-half.
