'Sicknote' Ribery injured again

FRANCK Ribery is proving to be a modern-day Darren Anderton with the number of sick notes he is positing at Bayern Munich.

The France midfielder played a part in just six Bundesliga matches during the first half of the season, lasting the whole 90 minutes only once due to a string of injuries.

He missed the first session of Bayern's winter training camp in Dubai yesterday because both of his big toes were swollen.

Bayern coach Louis van Gaal told the club's official website: "It is practically incredible and very bitter for the coach and the team."
