SFA reform plans: Scotsman.com readers have their say

Earlier today we asked our online readership for their thoughts on the Scottish Football Association's reform plans. Here is a selection of your comments, tweets and ideas...

Juanscornetto: It needs to be leaner and meaner - too many hangers on and jobsworths holding back our game. That and to stand up to bullyboys.

neil_macdougall: Why are the Scottish Government investing so much time money and effort into football? There are other sports too.

Stephen Scott: merger of SFL and SPL to one association, expansion of top league to 14 or 18 teams with a winter break

Carlaregina2: Not a word about the SFAs ridiculous decision to back Englands pathetic attempt to stop the FIFA election last week. This made us look like English lackies and could pave the way to the end of a Scottish international team. Hopefully some delegates will raise this issue and find out on what authority the SFA secretary took this decision.

fatheroftheplanets: Imagine the vote is even in doubt...making the SFA fairer and more responsible...it should receive 100% of the votes...

proclaimer: Will we get to know which clubs voted for what? Without this information it will be very difficult to deduce the reasoning behind the decisions made. Would it not be a good starting point for a more open and transparent organisation?
