Rangers eye Ryan Stevenson

HEARTS’ Ryan Stevenson has been linked with a move to Rangers in the January transfer window.

Stevenson was in the crowd at Ibrox during Rangers’ 3-2 win over Arbroath yesterday, and The Sun report that the player could make a shock move across the M8.

Stevenson has a clause in his contract at Tynecastle allowing him to leave on a free transfer during this transfer window, and the attacker had been linked with Romanian side CFR Cluj. (Sun)

Lennon wants unbeaten ‘highlight’

LEADING Celtic to an unbeaten Scottish Premiership season would be Neil Lennon’s greatest managerial feat, according to the Parkhead boss.

Celtic take on Hibernian today aiming for a 22nd game without defeat, and Lennon believes reaching the end of the season unbeaten would be his best achievement.

Lennon said: “We are enjoying the challenge. The unbeaten run is a great incentive for the opposition and for our players.” (Sun)

QPR keen to sign Stevie May

ST Johnstone striker Stevie May is reportedly a transfer target for English Championship side QPR.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp is close to putting in a £700,000 offer for the striker, according to the Sunday Mail.

The 21-year-old striker scored his 20th goal of the season yesterday, and is under contract at McDiarmid Park until the end of next season. (Sunday Mail)

Di Canio slams Steven Fletcher

FORMER Sunderland boss Paolo Di Canio has hit out at Scotland striker Steven Fletcher, calling the Celtic target unprofessional.

In an interview with The Sun, Di Canio said: “This is a man who only last week was filmed spitting on the back of a rickshaw driver in London… What sort of role model is that?”

“I don’t like people who laugh when they keep missing the goal in training… You have to train as you want to play. It is called being professional.” (Sun)

Andrew Driver goes back to USA

FORMER Hearts winger Andrew Driver has rejoined MLS side Houston Dynamo.

Driver spent time on trial at Yeovil earlier this month after his contract at the US side expired late last year. He has reportedly signed a “multi-year” contract with the Dynamo.

The 26-year-old, who represented both Scotland and England at age-grade level, earned around £57,000 a year in his previous spell in the States. (Scotland on Sunday)

Rangers review ‘on track’

GRAHAM Wallace, the Rangers CEO, has told the club’s fans that his financial review is “on track”.

In Rangers’ matchday programme, Wallace wrote: “All departments of the club are being reviewed and the reporting of informal discussions, as opposed to final proposals, has to be seen in the light of the dialogue of which it is part.”

Those informal discussions included a call on the Rangers playing staff to accept a 15% pay cut - a proposal which was rejected last week. (Mail on Sunday)
