Gers on standby as Spurs look to sell Ball

RANGERS could look to bring Dominic Ball back to Ibrox amid reports Spurs are set to sell the 21-year-old.

Ball impressed during a season-long loan deal at Rangers last season, and Mark Warburton could be tempted to bring him back to Glasgow.

Hibs eye Mallan

HIBERNIAN have been linked with St Mirren midfielder Stevie Mallan, according to reports.

The 20-year-old is under contract at St Mirren until the summer of 2018 but Hibs could offer cash plus a player in a bid to push the deal through.

Dundee have already had a bid of £75,000 turned down. (BBC Sport Scotland)

‘Well throw out Johnson bid

MOTHERWELL have knocked back an offer from Oxford United for Marvin Johnson, and have moved to price the winger at £1 million.

The League One side, who signed Kane Hemmings from Dundee last week, are keen on the ex-Kidderminster Harriers wideman, who is on top form having scored three goals in his last three games.

But the 25-year-old signed a three-year contract extension in June 2015 and is reportedly happy at Fir Park. (Evening Times)

Rangers anger at Puma/Sports Direct kit deal

RANGERS have said they are ‘surprised’ and ‘disappointed’ after it emerged that some retailers look set to sell the Ibrox side’s strip.

The club say they have no knowledge of any deal between Puma, Sports Direct and other retailers, despite a number of Scottish sport shops taking deliveries of the new kit in the past day or so.

A statement from Rangers read: “The club has not been party to discussions on the launch of kit sales by Puma this week. We are surprised and disappointed by the lack of consultation with the club and/or supporters groups prior to the launch.” (Daily Record)

Trabzonspor wanted Tavernier

TURKISH outfit Trabzonspor were keen on Rangers defender James Tavernier - before the ex-Wigan man signed a new deal at Ibrox.

Tavernier, who joined Rangers last summer, had initially refused a new contract with the Ibrox side, alerting the Turkish Super Lig outfit.

But Trabzonspor look to have cooled their interest in the right back. (LigTV)

United keen on McAllister

DUNDEE United are reportedly keen on bringing in striker Rory McAllister from Peterhead.

The 29-year-old, who has scored an incredible 104 goals in 163 appearances for the Blue Toon, said last year he couldn’t see himself leaving Peterhead.

But Ray McKinnon is keen on bolstering his attacking options and could try to convince McAllister to move to Tayside. (Scottish Sun)
