Rangers are still avoiding an extraordinary general meeting as the power struggle rages on at the Ibrox boardroom.

Jim McColl’s shareholder group have been pushing for the meeting in a bid to oust Craig Mather, Bryan Smart, and Brian Stockbridge, but it would cost £80,000 to hold the meeting. (Scotsman)

Griffiths wants to lead attack

Leigh Griffiths is keen to lead the attack for Scotland against Belgium at Hampden on Friday.

The former Hibs favourite said: “I haven’t played for Scotland at Hampden yet so hopefully I can get involved against a top-class Belgian side.” (Scotsman)

Celtic miss out on Jansen

Celtic failed in a last minute attempt to bring Anco Jansen to Parkhead on a six-month loan deal.

The player was left angry after his team, De Graafschap, snubbed the deal as they wanted another £60,000 for Celtic’s buy option. (Herald)

St Mirren chief backs Lennon

St Mirren chairman Stewart Gilmour has backed manager Danny Lennon, saying his position at the club is solid.
