Rangers shoot down board conspiracies
Rangers have shot down “absurd” claims there has been a massive restructing of the Ibrox boardroom. It comes after it was announced Paul Murray, John Gilligan and Graeme Park had their positions terminated from the TRFC board. The Ibrox side explained that they have two boards, the main RIFC board and the football board, which is the TRFC. The aforementioned trio were previously on both but have now been removed from the TRFC, which exclusively handles day-to-day operations. (Daily Record)
Mackay suggests Gilmour better off at Ibrox

Hide AdMalky Mackay has revealed he is advising Billy Gilmour’s family on the youngster’s future - and suggested it’ll be better if he remains in Glasgow. The 15-year-old has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer when he signs his first professional contract. Spurs confident of Dembele capture
Tottenham are confident they have won the race to sign Moussa Dembele ahead of London rivals Chelsea. The North London club tried to sign the player last January prior to his move to Celtic Park and have been monitoring his progress since then. New Armstrong deal
Stuart Armstrong has revealed that his agent and Celtic are currently in negotiations over a new contract. The midfielder has been in terrific form since November and capped off his Scotland debut with a match-winning assist. Armstrong’s current contract expires at the end of next season. (Evening Times)
Caixinha gamble ‘too late’ for second
Former Rangers midfielder Charlie Miller believes the Ibrox club have left it too late to recruit manager Pedro Caixinha in order to catch Aberdeen in second place. Aberdeen hold an eight-point advantage, though to two clubs will play each other twice before the end of the campaign. (Daily Record)

Craig Gordon has joked that he’s desperate for Celtic to secure the Ladbrokes Premiership title when they take on Hearts this weekend - saying he’s always wanted to win the title at Tynecastle. The Celtic goalkeeper grew up a Hearts fan before playing for the Edinburgh club. (Daily Record)
Coaching roles for Rankin and Carrick
Hearts have given former Hibs midfielder John Rankin a coaching role at Riccarton and brought Dale Carrick back inside their academy. Rankin is coaching Hearts’ Under-17s and Carrick the Under-14s as part of an expansion overseen by director of football Craig Levein. (Evening News)
Van der Wag to quit County
Dutch defender Kenny van der Weg is ready to quit Ross County this summer after failing to acclimatise to life in Dingwall. The left-back described the town as too “quiet”, saying he often makes a seven-hour round trip in the car to Edinburgh in order to experience a little nightlife.
