Gary Locke quits as Kilmarnock boss

Gary Locke resigned on Saturday evening following his side’s defeat to Hamilton.

Locke was under fire following poor results, including a 5 - 1 battering by bottom side Dundee United.

Kilmarnock pursue Billy Davies for manager

Kilmarnock will hold talks with former Motherwell boss Billy Davies in the next 48 hours.

Davies is hotly-tipped to be named manager following Gary Locke’s exit in the wake of the side’s defeat to Hamilton.

Out of management since his sacking at Nottingham Forest in March 2014, Davies’ first game in charge could be Killie’s Scottish Cup tie with Rangers on Saturday. (BBC Sport)

St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright has hit out at Hibernian star Liam Henderson after his side lost in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup.

United own 20 per cent of Gauld

It emerged on Saturday that Dundee United still own 20 per cent of Ryan Gauld.

The details of the deal for player who moved to Sporting Lisbon in July 2014 was made public for the first time by the controversial Football Leaks website.

United could make up to £1 million from the transfer, having already banked £2.2 million with the final instalment paid last February. (Sunday Mail)

Lee McCulloch still hurt by Rangers rumours

Kilmarnock caretaker manager Lee McCulloch has hinted that he is still hurt by rumours that he was milking Rangers for £72,000 a month.

How Rangers’ £6.2 million war chest was spent became a bone of contention amongst fans, with one website making claims about McCulloch’s wage.

McCulloch, who is hopefuly of good reception against his former club on Saturday, has said that his last season with Rangers was a nightmare as the club lurched from one disaster to another. (Scotland on Sunday)
