Lennon to hold Cummings talks

Celtic manager Neil Lennon will hold talks with Jason Cummings in Paris today over his future at Hibs. Lennon is working as a Euros pundit but his anxious to sort out the forward’s future with a number of clubs including Turkish side Trabzonspor interested. (Sun)

Clint Hill set to put pen to paper

Clint Hill will arrive in Glasgow this morning to complete his move to Rangers.

The former Queens Park Rangers defender, who is 38, is understood to have been tempted to Ibrox by the prospect of a coaching role. (Record)

Carlton Cole leaves Celtic

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has continued his clear out with the release of Carlton Cole

Alan Thompson’s advice to Joey Barton

Former Celtic player and coach Alan Thompson says new Rangers signing Joey Barton will have to consider how he adapts to life in Scotland.

He said: “I sent Joey a message telling him that he knows where I am but I do think he needs to think a wee bit about how he goes about his business.”

“He needs to think carefully about where he wants to live and what kind of environment he will be in if he wants to go out for a meal or whatever,” added the former Newcastle and Leeds United midfielder. “That is the kind of thing I have told him that he needs to ask the club about.” (Evening Times)

Ian Durrant deserved better treatment - Ferguson

Former Rangers captain Barry Ferguson says he is disappointed that Ian Durrant has been let go from his coaching role at Rangers following a long distinguished career at the Ibrox club.

He said: “I do have real sympathy for Ian Durrant. Being told by Rangers he is no longer needed will be like a sledgehammer over his head.

“It’s a difficult time for him because Rangers meant the world to him and has been such a big part of his life for so long. That’s his club.” (Record)

Hendry signs Celtic deal

Celtic teenager Regan Hendry has signed a new three-year contract with the club, it was announced on Thursday night.

The 18-year-old attacking midfielder put pen to paper on a new deal at Celtic Park after agreeing terms with the Scottish champions. (Various)

Celtic begin work on safe standing area

Celtic have begun the process of installing rail seats in their new “safe-standing” area of their stadium.

Celtic Park will be the first ground in Scotland to pilot the use of the rail seats that can flip back to allow spectators to stand.
