Celtic are refusing to give up on their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League knockout stages, despite it requiring wins over Borussia Monchengladbach, Barcelona and Manchester City.

Strachan told to pick Kingsley
Gordon Strachan has been advised to trust Swansea left-back Stephen Kingsley over Lee Wallace for next week’s clash with England at Wembley.
Leighton James, the former Welsh international, believes Kingsley’s stature as an English Premier League player shows he has the quality required to nullify England’s threats, whereas Wallace was playing at a lower level in Scotland for four seasons prior to the current one. (The Herald)
St Johnstone striker exits
Loanee striker Joe Gormley has made a surprising exit from St Johnstone, returning to Northern Ireland and informing the Perth side, along with parent club Peterborough, that he’s considering quitting the game.
Gormley joined St Johnstone in the summer transfer window as he looked to get his career back on track following a bad knee injury sustained shortly after he signed for Peterborough.
After struggling for first-team opportunities, he’s since returned to Belfast, where he’s training with former club Cliftonville. (Daily Record)
