Celtic are considering a bid for Bristol City left-back Joe Bryan, a move which would allow the Parkhead side to sell youngster Kieran Tierney. The current Celtic left-back is being chased by several English Premier League sides and Brendan Rodgers is looking at contingency plans should Tierney leave this summer. Gap should be bigger
Dave King has claimed Celtic failed to take full advantage of Rangers’ four-year absence from the top flight of Scottish football. The Ibrox club finished a distant third in the Premiership last season, but chairman King believes the gap between the Old Firm rivals is not as pronounced as it could have been as a consequence of his club’s financial collapse in 2012. Hearts to meet Lafferty
Ian Cathro admits Hearts need to sign another striker as club officials prepare to meet the Northern Ireland forward Kyle Lafferty for talks today. Lafferty will sit down with director of football Craig Levein to discuss a possible move to Tynecastle following his release by Norwich City last month. However, Ipswich Town are one of seven other clubs in England and abroad also pursuing the 29-year-old’s signature. (Edinburgh News)
ICT to sell Fon-Williams
Inverness CT boss John Robertson is looking to sell goalkeeper Owain Fon-Williams in a bid to raise some funds to rebuild the Caley Thistle squad following relegation. Rangers tie up Pena and Herrera
Pedro Caixinha has further strengthened his squad with the signings of Mexican pair Carlos Pena and Eduardo Herrera as he prepares his Rangers side for the upcoming season.
