Celtic linked with Adi

CELTIC have been named as one of the clubs tracking Portland Timbers striker Fanendo Adi.

The 25-year-old - a 6ft 4in former Nigeria U23 cap - has had spells at FC Copenhagen and Slovakian outfit Trenčín.

But he is also a target for Russian side Rubin Kazan, Cardiff, Werder Bremen, Sporting Lisbon and Shanghai SIPG. (BT.com)

Knox joins United on trial

LIVINGS TON starlet Matthew Knox has travelled to Manchester for a trial at Old Trafford, after spending time with Everton, Liverpool and Spurs.

The forward, who became Livi’s youngest-ever player when he came on as a substitute in the 4-1 win over St Mirren, is also being tracked by Chelsea.

His father, Matthew Sr., confirmed the 16-year-old was on the radar of several Premier League clubs. (Manchester Evening News)

Hoops prepare Crepulja bid

CELTIC are set to sign Croatian midfielder Ljuban Crepulja from Slaven Belupo.

Crepulja, a holding midfielder, has been linked with the Hoops for a number of weeks and Celtic could bid for the 22-year-old in the coming days. (Daily Mail)

No fresh O’Halloran bids

RANGERS have made no new bids for Michael O’Halloran, with St Johnstone chief Steve Brown warning the Gers it would take serious money to persuade the McDiarmid Park side to part with the ex-Celtic youngster.

Brown added: “We’ve always said he’s not for sale. If any offers come in we’ll consider it and if it’s not at a level that’s acceptable to us then we won’t accept it.” (Evening Times)

Naismith completes £8,5m Norwich switch

FORMER Rangers forward Steven Naismith has completed an £8.5m move to Norwich.

The Scotland striker had found game time hard to come by at Everton, falling down the pecking order behind the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Kevin Mirallas, Arouna Kone and Gerard Deulofeu.

Naismith famously clashed on the pitch with new boss Alex Neil while they were both players in Scotland. (The Scotsman)

“I’m not a Mason”, insists Rangers judge

THE JUDGE tasked with the court case involving Rangers chairman Dave King and Sports Direct chief Mike Ashley has denied being a Mason.

Mr Justice Peter Smith made the remarks in response to ‘internet bloggers’, who apparently also claimed his wife was a big Rangers fan.

Mr Justice Smith dismissed Sports Direct’s bid to jail King over a ‘gagging order’ relating to the sportswear firm’s retail deal with Rangers.

The Judge added: “My wife is from Edinburgh. The idea that she would support any Glasgow team is laughable.” (The Scotsman)

Hoops face competition for Celina

DERBY and Middlesbrough are thought to be chasing Celtic loan target Bersant Celina, linked with Celtic earlier this month.

The Championship sides are keen to bolster their squads for the promotion push and the young Manchester City star is one player interesting both teams.

Brum keen on Sow

BIRMINGHAM have joined the race for Hearts star Osman Sow after it emerged the Championship side had the forward watched in the 6-0 win over Motherwell.

Sow has also been linked with the Old Firm but it is believed that Blues gaffer Gary Rowett was given a glowing report on Sow, and could make a move before the window closes. (Scottish Sun)

Henan Jianye target McGowan

DUNDEE United full back Ryan McGowan has emerged as a target for Chinese outfit Henan Jianye.

Australian international McGowan joined United from another Chinese side - Shandong Luneng Taishan - whom he joined after a spell with Hearts.

Celtic bid for Bradshaw ‘expected’

CELTIC could make a move for Walsall striker Tom Bradshaw before the transfer window slams shut.

The ex-Wales Under-21 forward has bagged 32 goals in the last two seasons for Walsall and the 23-year-old has been linked with the Hoops as well as Championship sides Wolves, Birmingham, Reading and Huddersfield. (Various)

IK Start reject Molde bid for Ajer

START have knocked back a bid from fellow Norwegian club Molde for 17-year-old midfielder Kristoffer Ajer.

The youngster is a target for Celtic, and recently had a one-week trial with Ronny Deila’s team.

KILMARNOCK are reportedly keen on Crystal Palace striker Sullay Kaikai.

Gary Locke is keen to strengthen his side during the January window and Eagles boss Alan Pardew is keen for Kaikai to get some game time.

DUNDEE are putting the finishing touches on a deal for Spanish forward Arturo Juan Pérez-Reverte.
