The striker is reportedly unhappy for three reasons that the club have so far been unwilling to accept an offer from the Ligue 1 side.

He wants to know why Rodgers has blocked his move despite previously pushing for Dembele to accept offers and telling him the club was “not big enough” for the 22-year-old. He’s also said to be upset that Celtic are adamant they won’t sell him without a replacement, despite a squad rotation policy in the striking corps last season.

Dembele took to Twitter on Thursday evening to express his dissatisfaction with the situation.

The first, a meme, read: “A man, without his word, is nothing. A real man keeps his word.”

He then followed that up by writing: “Don’t get it wrong Bhoys and Ghirls nothing to do with people who really care about the club @CelticFC too much respect for you and the crest #CarefulWhoYouCallTheLeaderOfYours” With this he posted another meme, this one read: “A lie has many variations, the truth none.”
