'Very clever', 'Kent's wake-up call', 'Trust the management' - Rangers fans react to team v Royal Antwerp in Europa League

Steven Gerrard’s team selection had the Rangers fans excited as the team geared up for the last 32 of the Europa League with a double-barrelled strikeforce in Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe.

The manager’s decision to bench Ryan Kent – usually a starter – was a topic for discussion, as was the selection of Scott Arfield.

@ruaraidh1985: “Brilliant to see Arfield back. What we’ve been missing recently. Although he’s not been great recently, surprised not to see Kent away from home in Europe. He is more suited to counter attack.”

Daniel Lamb: “European teams are more technical so can see why Kamara is in instead of Jack. Kent on the bench was needed but can some on as fresh legs as the game goes on. Trust the management.”

David Petrie: “I think this is very clever. If it's true about them having eight players out then their starting 11 might not be fully match fit. Can see Kent and Hagi coming on 65th to 70th to cause havoc – unless the game’s already been put to bed then.”
