Two Betfred Cup quarter-final ties picked for live coverage by competition broadcasters

Rangers’ trip to St Mirren is one of two Betfred Cup quarter-final ties selected by broadcaster Premier Sports.

Steven Gerrard’s side will travel to the SMISA Stadium for the match on Wednesday, December 16 after comfortably defeating Falkirk 4-0 in the last round. The home side assured their passage with a 2-1 victory over Aberdeen in one of the live Premier Sports matches in the last 16.

The other game selected is Hibs’ trip to Alloa Athletic, which will be shown the evening prior. Jack Ross and his side will hope to avoid the same fate that befell their Edinburgh rivals, who lost to Peter Grant’s men in the last round. Both live games will kick-off at 8pm.

The non-televised matches see St Johnstone travel to Dunfermline Athletic on Tuesday, December 16, while Livingston host Celtic-slayers Ross County the following day. Each of these matches afre scheduled to kick-off at 7.45pm.
