Steven Gerrard selects Rangers team for Celtic Park Old Firm showdown - with Glen Kamara and Ianis Hagi in midfield

Steven Gerrard has named his starting team to face Celtic in the third Old Firm match of the season.

The Rangers boss had a minor selection headache at right-back with Nathan Patterson receiving a kick on the calf during Thursday night’s defeat to Slavia Prague in the Europa League.

Leon Balogun, who has also deputised at the right-side of defence in James Tavernier’s absence is also just back from injury and takes the slot from the Scots teenager.

Ryan Jack also sits out through injury as the boss revealed during his pre-match press conference earlier this week.

The Premiership title has already been decided however Rangers could match a little piece of club history with a second win of the season at Parkhead – a feat that hasn’t been achieved for almost a quarter of a century.
