Hibs are currently third, and in pole position for a Europa League place but have Aberdeen hot on their heels – and the Dons recorded their first away win of the year yesterday.
Rangers of course have already secured the league title – but Steven Gerrard maintains the players are playing for their place in next weekend’s planned Old Firm clash in the Scottish Cup last 16. There’s also the prospect of an unbeaten season now tantalisingly close for the Ibrox side.
Captain James Tavernier is edging closer to a return to action, so will be deputised by Nathan Patterson while Ryan Jack is also a known absentee. After three previous tight matches between Rangers and Jack Ross’ team – a 2-2 draw and two 1-0 wins for Rangers – the Rangers boss has selected the following players to extend the unbeaten run a little further.
Kick off at Ibrox is 3pm.
