'Steven Davis masterclass', 'Strolling round like Xavi', 'Saving goalfests for Europe' - Rangers fans react to 1-0 win over Kilmarnock

Rangers fans were delighted with three points, impressed with Steven Davis but some were underwhelmed by the performance against Kilmarnock.

Ryan Jack’s rocket was enough to see off Tommy Wright’s side but while the goal was impressive, others were less so with the team.

@CF3Loyal: “Hardly vintage but another big three points closer to 55. Davis was majestic. Jack couldn’t pass the ball two yards at times but could scream it into the top corner when it counted. Impressed by the early signs from Wright. Buzzing to be back playing Europa League football on Thursday.

@Harveyy86: “Easy game again. Always nice to win by more goals but plenty chances created just need a wee bit more killer instinct. Saving the goalfests for Europe clearly.”

@Bro85oksie: “Absolutely bogging performance. Final ball lately has been so poor. Hopefully improve next few games.”

Others were happier.

@Johnmac46339650: “Will take this all day long. The start of the season I had a panic over them winning 9.5 – this ain’t pretty but the fact of the matter this team have given us back our roar. Absolutely monumental season where every point , every win and every game we get closer to being champions.”

James Hodierne: “Strong in every position and players hungry. Winning good, winning ugly, scoring screamers and keeping it shut at the back.”

@NYCRFC: “Job done and what a goal to win it. 12 points needed from the 27 available and the league trophy will be back where it belongs.”

Stuart Fleming: “Excellent controlled performance. Killie had no shots on target. Three points was the target and we got that. Only negative is that we need to be more clinical in front of goal. Wee Alfie is back to pester defences. Scott Wright looks good on the ball, tidy wee player.

@rosspat51440418: "Scott Wright starts next week or there will be words.”

And praise for the veteran…

@andy_millar94: “Great goal, Davis was great, three points, clean sheet. Still a little bit off the pace, bit more to do in final third but that will improve when Alfie and Roofe return. Wright looks good.
