In beating Livingston at Hampden Park they ended Celtic's dominance of domestic trophies in the SPFL and became only the second team to win both major cups in the past eight years.

Enzo Maresca has remained coy over a link to become the next Celtic manager. The former Sevilla and Juventus midfielder is currently in charge of Manchester City's Under-23 side. Maresca is seen as an outside chance to take the position according to bookmakers. (Daily Record)

St Johnstone boss Callum Davidson reckons clubs will show an interest in his back three of Jason Kerr, Liam Gordon and Jamie McCart, plus midfielder Ali McCann. All four are young and were key in the club's Betfred Cup success. (The Scotsman)

Odsonne Edouard has been backed to stay at Celtic if Thierry Henry is appointed as Neil Lennon’s replacement. The Arsenal and French legend recently left MLS side Montreal to move back to Europe. Former Aberdeen striker Dean Windass said: "If Thierry comes in and has a little word and says, ‘this is where I want you to be and you’ll be my main man’, then it might swing it.” (Football FanCast)

Alfredo Morelos has drawn comparisons to Harry Kane. The Rangers ace has not hit the back of the net with the same frequency as last season, especially in the league, but has been a key player in the team’s build-up. Former England striker Kevin Phillips said: “Kane is another player who has been dropping deeper and helping in the build up. I remember when I started dropping a little bit deeper and it can affect your numbers, as we have seen with Morelos.” (Football Insider)

Celtic would miss captain Scott Brown “a lot" if he was to depart in the summer. Brown is out of contract at the end of the season and defender Stephen Welsh outlined his importance. “He gets us going, he leads us on the park, he’s always talking to you and he is also a quality player,” Welsh said. Livingston manager David Martindale has insisted he won't allow the Betfred Cup final defeat to define the club’s season. He said: “We’ve still a massive amount of football to play and a fantastic opportunity as a club to push for the top six and try for a European slot.” (The Scotsman)

Celtic will “restock" next season and won't take surrendering the Premiership title to rivals Rangers "lying down”.
