Davidson in contract talks
Murray Davidson has entered contract talks with St Johnstone over a new deal.
The player confirmed to The Courier that he is hopeful in the coming days or weeks he would get something signed with him out of contract at the end of the season.
Motherwell goalkeeper had Newcastle United offer

Charlie Nicholas had strong words for SPFL lawyer Rod McKenzie as he backed Rangers' investigation.
Writing in his Daily Express column, he called McKenzie a “mouthpiece” having dealt with him before, while he said the independent investigation represents “a chance to get the league cleaned out and to make things more transparent”.

Rangers have made a move for Linfield striker Charlie Allen, according to a report.
The teenage striker has attracted attention for a number of clubs in England.
It was reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post that Leeds United felt confident that they could sign him.
The Ibrox side could look to gazump them with an early offer.
Stenhousemuir back investigation
The 42 member clubs will today vote on the resolution presented by Rangers at an EGM.
The meeting takes place at 11am, where clubs will submit their view as to whether an independent investigation into the SPFL should take place.
32 of the 42 teams must back the resolution for it to pass - at least 9 from the Premiership, 8 from the Championship and a total of 15 from League One and League Two.
The result is expected to be confirmed at 3pm.
