Well, there we have it. League reconstruction is dead in the water with the status quo of 12-10-10-10 confirmed for next season by the SPFL after the revamp proposals failed to garner the required support. It has meant Hearts, Partick Thistle and Stranraer have all had their relegation confirmed.

While the latter duo won’t seek legal action, Hearts have already taken the first steps. That will be a continued story running alongside clubs preparing for the 2020/21 campaign, which could start in August for the Premiership and October for the other divisions.
