On Wednesday it was revealed that the Hearts and Partick Thistle legal challenge against their relegation from the Premiership and Championship respectively at an independent tribunal is set to take place next week. It would be naive to expect the whole matter to be concluded in a week’s time but more clarity should be provided by then.
It is hard to fathom that there are just over three weeks until football returns to Scotland, and fans are likely to be treated to 13 live games in August alone, as long as the Premiership season kicks off in a timely manner.
We will have all the latest from Scottish football throughout the day as it happens, including transfer news.
