DONE DEAL: Dundee bring in forward

Lille’s No.1 target Jonathan David has said he won’t play in friendlies for Belgian side Gent.

The Canadian international doesn’t want to get injured ahead of a possible move.

Morelos’ deal appears to be stalled until Lille get clarity on David who is valued by his club at €30m but the French side are reluctant to offer.

Gerrard coy over Morelos

Steven Gerrard has said people will have to wait and see if Alfredo Morelos plays for Rangers against Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League on Thursday.

The Colombian has been under intense transfer speculation.

Gerrard said: “Alfredo is focused on the game tomorrow. He is fit to play and wants to play. You will have to wait until tomorrow to see what our team is.”

DONE DEAL: Hemmings leaves Dundee

Three clubs keen on Morelos

Three clubs have been boosted by the slow progress of Alfredo Morelos’ proposed move to Lille.

According to a report in France, Sevilla, Brighton and Italian side Sassuolo have been credited with an interest in the Rangers striker.

The Colombian’s departure is expected following the arrival of two new strikers.

Toney wants Celtic move

Celtic are in danger of losing out on Ivan Toney, despite the player’s desire to join the Scottish champions.

Peterborough United director of football Barry Fry has issued a warning to the Parkhead side that they’re in danger of missing out.

He told the Daily Mail another club, believed to be Brentford, are closing in on a deal.

Fry said: "They are running out of time now. The lad is very close to signing for someone else in the next couple of days.

“Celtic would have been his preferred choice, but they are nowhere near it. I heard from Ivan's agent to say Celtic were coming back. That was Sunday evening after their first game.”

Hickey to fly to Bayern

Aaron Hickey will fly to Germany this weekend for a tour of Bayern Munich, according to the Daily Mail.

The Hearts star will be given VIP treatment and shown around the facilities.

The German giants are one of a number of teams keen on the 18-year-old.

Ex-Rangers favourite open to return

Lewis Macleod has revealed he is open to a return to Scotland.

The midfielder is out of contract following the expiry of his contract at Wigan.

He told media in England: “I've not decided on if I want to stay in England or look into coming back to Scotland. I'm keeping my options open; open to whatever.”

Macleod was a favourite at Ibrox before making the move to Brentford.

Rangers’ £6m deal could hasten Morelos’ departure

Following the double striker signing for Rangers on Tuesday, all eyes now fall on Alfredo Morelos and his future.

Kemar Roofe and Cedric Itten have arrived for a reported £6m which means Steven Gerrard has four striking options on his books.

Morelos proposed move to Lille has stalled slightly as they have made Jonathan David their No.1 priority.

Thursday’s Europa League clash with Bayer Leverkusen could provide an insight as to how quickly or if at all Morelos will depart Rangers.
