Scottish football was once more hit by the coronavirus after it was confirmed on Tuesday evening that Rangers player Ross McCrorie had tested positive for the virus while on loan at Portsmouth.

It comes after the country largely moved behind close doors in a help to flatten the curve and stop a potential strain on emergency services. At the same time there was still little clarity on what happens next for Scottish and European football as more clubs move to lessen their outgoings so they can make it through the current climate.
