The season has been remarkable on the home front and in Europe – and it’s not over yet.
Since kicking off with a win over Aberdeen at Pittodrie on the opening day, the disappointments have been few and far between as Steven Gerrard’s side marched to the title with an incredible defensive record and a long unbeaten run only blemished by St Mirren in the Betfred Cup quarter final.
Beating Aberdeen at Pittodrie twice in the same season has not happened in a while – ten years infact – the same season Rangers last won the trophy. Back then Allan McGregor was in goals and Steven Davis patrolled the midfield.
But who else was in the last Rangers side to lift the Premiership trophy, and where are they now?

5. Lee McCulloch
Utility man followed Rangers to the third division and captained their ascent through the leagues before a move to Kilmarnock. Progressed into management at Rugby Park but spell in charge was unsuccessful. Has linked well with Robbie Neilson, winning the Championship with Dundee United and now coach at Hearts.

6. Steven Davis
Back at Rangers after being sold to Southampton where he played almost 200 times for the Premiership club. Returned to Ibrox and recently played his 300th game for the club to add to his Northern Ireland international cap record.

7. Kenny Miller
Initially moved to Bursaspor in Turkey, then Cardiff and Vancouver. Returned to Rangers before moving into management with Livingston but returned to playing at Dundee retired last year playing for his 12th club Partick Thistle. Now a coach in Australia.

8. Steven Naismith
A controversial figure upon his departure from Rangers, Naismith was a key forward for the title-winning team. Moved to Everton where he achieved success before spell at Norwich and back to Scotland. Still a key figure aged 34 and captain of Hearts.
