Rangers fans celebrate outside Ibrox: Fans gather outside Ibrox ahead of St Mirren clash

Rangers fans kicked of their title celebrations early as supporters gathered outside their Ibrox home to welcome players ahead of today’s St Mirren clash.

Fans congregated outside the stadium on Saturday afternoon as players arrived at the ground a few hours ahead of kick off.

Flares and fireworks were let off by jubilant fans, who were celebrating the fact the Glasgow outfit could secure the Premiership title for the 55th time if they won today and rivals Celtic drop points against Dundee on Sunday.

There appeared to be no social distancing in place, as videos shared on social media showed fans chanting and dancing in large groups.

Rangers boss Stephen Gerrard sent a message to fans ahead of the game, saying: “By all means enjoy it and really enjoy this moment and this time, of course, but I don’t want my players dodging fireworks while the game’s going on, that’s fore sure.”
