After seeing off Lincoln Red Imps and Willem II in the previous rounds – both away from home – Rangers have brought European football back to Ibrox for the one-off match to decide who enters tomorrow’s group stage draw in Nyon, Switzerland.

The home side reached the last 16 of the competition last season, going out to Bayer Leverkusen, and now host the Turkish Super Lij leaders Galatasaray – a name widely known and regarded in European football.

The Turkish giants have a plethora of talent in their ranks including Radamel Falcao and Ryan Babel who both start the match but Rangers will be hoping to make it a third consecutive year in the group stage of the competition under Steven Gerrard and confidence is high after a powerful victory in the SPFL Premiership at Motherwell on Sunday continued their place at the top of the league. They include Allan McGregor, keeping his place in goals, Alfredo Morelos in attack while Iannis Hagi and Borna Barisic are restored to the line-up.

Tonight’s match is eagerly anticipated with much on the line for both sides – and the Rangers manager even suggesting his transfer moves before Monday’s deadline could hinge on the result tonight. His Istanbul counterpart has said similar.
